Our founder started her journey through service-learning and cultural immersion during her time at Valencia College where she enrolled in a Service Learning program in the Dominican Republic. It carried through her studies at the University of Central Florida where she studied abroad in Florence, Italy. She continued her lifelong goal to serve others by spending two years in AmeriCorps serving under-resourced communities, and 10 years running a women's empowerment nonprofit.
Today, Rise & Roam Institute for Immersive Learning brings together those experiences into one mission:

hospitality & guest experience
Students will study world-class hospitality organizations like Disney World and Universal Studios while exploring leadership, operations, customer experience, and service excellence. Students will be immersed in the magical experience of the parks and discover how it all works together.
service learning & nonprofit management
This exciting travel class will partner with local and international organizations to complete meaningful community projects while developing empathy, civic responsibility, and leadership skills. Through intentional interactions with local communities students will gain a new outlook on global issues.
business and strategic marketing
A hybrid course where students will engage with entrepreneurs, destination marketing organizations and industry professionals to better understand innovation and business strategy. This course includes site tours, business meeting shadow sessions, and exclusive behind-the-scenes opportunities to learn real-world skills.
